Its Company Policy
In today’s world of almost unlimited choice “It’s company policy” in response to a customers reasonable request has no place. If its company policy, that customer is going to move on somewhere else, probably to a business whose company policy is called the customer policy instead.

Companies will have policies a covering a number of areas but such a response is quite often given by jobsworths. Those real deliverers of service might say something like -‘ Whilst this might breach company policy let’s just see if we can help in another way’ i.e. show a genuine interests and desire in you the customer.
